In 1995, the very last workshop with Bartholomew present took place at the Ghost Ranch retreat center in Abiquiu, NM. 166 people were in attendance, several of whom are probably reading these lines. That was the crowning event of a 17-year span during which Bartholomew, communicating with Mary-Margaret Moore's assistance, shared a wide array of information that changed the lives of many if not most of the people lucky enough to have stumbled on it.

When my wife and I met Mary-Margaret in Albuquerque some 5 years ago, she mentioned that we should find "the Ghost Ranch tapes" which she considered some of the best material shared by Bartholomew. She also said that she herself didn't have a set. Many months of research followed until separate sets were located, with their owners kind and trusting enough to lend them to us.

Then I discovered with much excitement that someone had actually transcribed the 8 tapes containing excerpts of the 5-day workshop! That someone is Qris, known then as Ann Claassen, an environmental attorney based at the time in Washington, D.C. They had undertaken, on their own, the painstaking and time-consuming task of transcribing the 8 tapes, first making a literal transcription and then creating an edited version. Qris published the edited text in book form in 2016 and sent copies to friends they had met in Mary-Margaret Moore workshops. It includes a few pictures Qris took at Ghost Ranch in 2006, and has a short introduction by Mary-Margaret. See the cover below.

Now that the entire Bartholomew material is on its way to be made available on the Bartholomewmaterial.com site, Qris has generously agreed to make the Ghost Ranch transcription available in PDF format. Like all the other transcripts on the site (yet to come), the two versions--literal transcription (184 pages) and edited version (179 pages)--will be posted. They will be available on the site soon.

2. New tape additions

Since the publication of our last Newsletter (No 4), 28 new tapes were converted and uploaded to the site. They are:

3. A fourth commercial tape!

While there are literally hundreds of tapes dutifully recorded by Dr. Aikens first and then Joy Franklin during Bartholomew's many sessions, most were copied and sent to either participants or Bart fans, but none were produced commercially and sold to the public. Or so I thought.

I was therefore pleasantly surprised to discover that in fact there were a few tapes produced and sold commercially. At first I thought there were only two (they were among the many tapes that Phyllis Johnson - until then the official "guardian" of the tapes - handed over to me after Mary-Margaret gave her the green light). They were "Journey to Within" and "The Human Christ". (The audio files are here: "Journey to Within" and "The Human Christ").

Then as I scoured the Internet looking for more, I discovered that there was another one, titled "Awakening to the Deathless" (the audio file is available here: "Awakening to the Deathless"). There was a problem though: apparently the only copy in existence in the entire country was located in the library of UC Santa Barbara, and they adamantly refused to lend it out. After many discussions, they finally agreed to send me a copy of the audio file as well as of the cover of the cassette, and that's how it was aded to the Bartholomewmaterial.com site (see picture below).

But the story doesn't end there. As recently as a couple of weeks ago, imagine my surprise when Joy Franklin sent me what turned out to be a fourth tape! It is titled "Your Child, God and You" and it should be of interest to every parent and/or grandparent. The audio file is here and the cover of the cassette is below.

This is where the story ends. Unless anyone reading this knows of yet one or more of these cassettes that everyone forgot about? If you do, please let us know and we will make it (them) available on the site for everyone to enjoy.

5. Visitors from outside the US

I recently discovered a nifty little app that allows us to see where visitors to the Bartholomew site originate from. It doesn't identify individuals, so there is no invasion of privacy (it identifies the country and if you keep clicking it will stop at the city). I was therefore happily surprised to discover that we had recent visitors - besides the bulk from the US - from Australia, Argentina, Denmark, Japan, Mexico, China (!) and the UK. Who knew?
